Ionic Appflow is framework independent as opposed to Apache PhoneGap. Therefore an existing ionic app is not required. It is not likely that everyone would enjoy doing the same stuff and enjoy setting up and maintain their build systems to compile their native mobile applications. Plus, possessing a MAC device is important to compile a native iOS application. Similar challenges have led to offerings like Adobe Phonegap Build. But we have a still better option in form of Ionic AppFlow for Cloud-Native Builds that is a step ahead of PhoneGap and will further inherit the throne. See more.
